Travel Clinic
LifeScape's Travel Medicine Clinic provides pre-departure counseling, immunizations, and health advice for the international traveler.
Whether you travel for leisure or business, LifeScape provides you with the care and resources to enjoy a safe, worry-free trip.
A typical Travel Clinic consultation includes:
• |
An individualized assessment of your travel health risks based on an analysis of your destinations, itinerary, and medical history; |
• |
Discussion of common travel related illnesses, specific diseases prevalent to your area of travel, and how to minimize your health risks; |
• |
Recommended immunizations and a World Health Organization (WHO) approved International Certificate of Vaccination; and |
• |
Prescriptions for appropriate medications to prevent and treat illnesses while traveling including malaria prophylaxis and anti-diarrheal agents. |
Because a pre-travel immunization series can take several weeks to complete, we recommend that you schedule a Travel Clinic appointment at least four weeks before departure. When this is not possible, we will meet your travel health needs as completely as time allows. To make the most of your clinic visit, we ask that you download, print, and complete our pre-travel questionnaire in advance and bring it along with a copy of your vaccination record to your appointment.
Pre-travel assessments are available by appointment and no referral is necessary. Assessments are provided on a fee-for-service basis with payment due at the time of treatment. As a courtesy, LifeScape will submit an initial insurance claim with your carrier for any available patient reimbursement.
Available care does not end with your departure. LifeScape patients who become ill or require medical advice while traveling may contact their provider for assistance through our secure email system. And, should you return home with something more than a tan and souvenirs, our physicians have the expertise to treat most illnesses you may contract while abroad
