Andrew B. Svetly, MD
Dr. Svetly earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles and completed his medical education at the University of Arizona, College of Medicine. He completed his specialty training in Family Medicine at Phoenix Baptist Medical Center and received a Masters in Business Administration from Arizona State University.
After residency, Dr. Svetly founded and became President of Management Services Company of Arizona, a 100-physician multi-specialty group. He also served as President of Arizona Family Care Specialists, Medical Director of Clinical Informatics at Scottsdale Healthcare, Associate Medical Director at Scottsdale FamilyCare, a Board Member of the Arizona Foundation for Medical Care, and Chairman of the Departments of Family Medicine at both Scottsdale Healthcare Shea and Paradise Valley Hospitals.
Dr. Svetly spent six and one half years at Cerner Corporation, a world leader in medical informatics, and served as its Vice President of Clinical Operations. Dr. Svetly has spoken nationally and internationally advocating for patient safety and reduced medical costs, errors, and harm through the application of advanced information technology.
In addition to his clinical practice at LifeScape, Dr. Svetly holds the position of Vice President and Chief Medical Information Officer for Florida Hospital, a seven campus hospital group in Orlando, Florida with 2,000 physicians and 2,000 licensed beds.
Dr. Svetly is Board certified in Family Medicine and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Arizona Academy of Family Physicians, and American College of Physician Executives. Phoenix Magazine has named Dr. Svetly a “Top Doc” and the Consumers Research Council lists him among the nation’s "Top Family Physicians."
