Laurie M. Pozun, DO
Dr. Pozun attended Southwest Missouri State
University on a full, academic scholarship. There, she received a Bachelor
of Science in Biology, Magna Cum Laude and Phi Kappa Phi. She obtained a
Doctor of Osteopathy from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois
and completed a one-year, Internal Medicine internship at Lutheran General
Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois.
Following her internship, Dr. Pozun completed three-years of specialty
training in Family Medicine at the Mayo Clinic Scottsdale where she was
Chief Resident and nominated for the James-Grobe Award for excellence in
Family Medicine.
Dr. Pozun served as Resident Co-Director of the Arizona Academy of Family
Physicians. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and
American Medical Association and has written several articles addressing
issues in primary care. She is Board certified in Family Medicine, has
special interests in prevention and clinical genetics, and is skilled in a
myriad of medical procedures. Dr. Pozun also provides parenting advice on BabyFirstTV. Ranking Arizona lists her as one
of the State’s top Family Physicians and Best Doctors ranks her among the top 4% of Family Physicians nationally.
Dr. Pozun is married and has three young sons and two large dogs. She enjoys running
and hiking.
